POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the research support specialist will be to support the labs various studies, including examining behavioral sleep treatments involving caregivers of persons with dementia, autistic children, individuals with chronic pain, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting physiological assessments, cognitive assessments, and neuroimaging procedures
Analyzing and organizing data. Resolves data discrepancies. Produces graphs, charts and tables from data.
Training other researchers to administer assessments
Manuscript and publication editing/reviewing and poster creating.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in office or administrative support or in research support. College education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED:
BA or BS in psychology or related field.
Background in psychology, in purist of higher-education research, interests in sleep, pain, and clinical work, familiarity with lab/research duties, previous RA experience, good at working with participants/coworkers, interest in neuroimaging and conducting participant assessments
