Goodwill empowers individuals to overcome barriers to working, by providing comprehensive support and connecting them with life changing job opportunities, ensuring they are career-ready and can support themselves and their families.
The organization employs over 2,000 people, operates five job-training centers, 23 nonprofit retail stores and more than 27 donation sites in King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Kitsap Counties. Job Title: Vice President, Mission Advancement
Salary Range: $175,000-225,000
Location: Seattle
About the Position
The Vice President, Mission Advancement is responsible for leading Evergreen Goodwill's mission initiatives, focusing on workforce development, education, job placement and strategic fundraising both from grants and philanthropy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is essential in developing programs and funding mechanisms to support and grow our comprehensive, free Mission services which empower individuals to transform their lives.
This leader is responsible for a team of over 70 people and the operation of five job training and education centers located in 5 counties. Our intention is to find a leader to grow our impact from the 6,100 people served last year to over 20,000 in 5 years. The ideal person for this role will have extensive experience developing and executing a strategic plan for a large non-profit, building and scaling community-centered programs for maximum impact, fundraising and securing grants, acting as a team player and developer of talent, communicating and representing the organization at a C-Suite level. On a personal level, this person is calm under pressure, brings positive energy and enthusiasm to the team, and has a "can do" attitude and sense of humor.
