VP, AI / ML Engineering Innovation (Finance)

Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy, VP, AI / ML Engineering Innovation to work on a variety of high-impact projects. You will have the opportunity to join and lead a team of talented engineers working with leading-edge technology. You will unlock new opportunities for business growth, improve analytical process efficiency, maintain and restructure data pipelines, and coordinate with our Technology teams on accelerated deployment of analytical solutions within our production environments.

Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 required onsite days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.

This role will work the required onsite days at our Equifax office in Alpharetta, Georgia.

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.

What You'll Do

• Own the global AI/ML engineering platform strategy, aligning it with the company's overall business goals and objectives (including GenAI and Machine Learning based models).
• Lead the development and implementation of a long-term roadmap for data infrastructure evolution and optimization.
• Partner with senior leadership to champion data-driven decision making across the organization, fostering a data-centric culture.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering collaboration, growth, and talent development.
• Delegate effectively while providing strategic guidance and mentorship to support continuous learning and innovation.
• Act as a champion for your team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to excel.
• Lead data security strategy, ensure comprehensive platform protection and compliance.
• Lead data quality strategy, ensure data integrity and reliability across platforms.
• Possess deep knowledge of data architectures, distributed systems, data security best practices, and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
• Stay ahead of the curve in GCP advancements, evaluating and proposing new solutions to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data platform on GCP.
• Partner with senior leadership to align data platform costs with business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, establishing seamless collaboration and data sharing practices.

What experience you need

• BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role, with at least 3 years of experience leading technology teams.
• Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
• Broad knowledge and experience with programming and scripting languages, including Python and SQL, as well as a focus on staying ahead of trends.
• Demonstrated proficiency and broad expertise in managing a team in the design and implementation of complex GCP solutions, while also driving the cloud strategy.
• Experience leading data pipeline strategy as well as demonstrated automation expertise.
• Experience leading data modeling strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Experience setting version control standards and integrating with platforms.
