The Legal Operations Specialist is responsible for daily support to field operations, conducting research and other legal support functions as assigned by the legal department.Acts as the primary point of contact for designated states/regions for advice and legal operations support for field operations. Assists with plans of correction, interpretation of Company policies and state regulations, approval of media talking points, review of medical record requests, and guidance to field operations when reportable events occur.Reviews community and agency level healthcare and ancillary contracts.Negotiates settlements with third parties, including residents/families.Conducts regulatory research, policy review and makes recommendations for implementation.Drafts discharge letters.Maintains/updates departmental reports, databases, file systems, mailing lists and logs, as required.Conducts trainings for field operations and other departments.This job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position.
