Finance Manager - Operations FP&A (Project Management)
Job Summary
Job Description
This position will partner with the Operations Distribution Center team from a financial analysis capacity. The person in this role is expected to work hand-in-hand with senior Operations leaders to analyze and investigate complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports.
Provide and lead financial decision support with business partners; research and recommend options and solutions for improved business results to senior management.
Manage two direct reports supporting the distribution center network and operations corporate overhead. Be a thought-leader amongst other Finance managers.
Lead and oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and support new business initiatives.
Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
Be a strategic thought partner with Operations business partners and work with Finance leadership to set strategy and priorities.
Communicate financial results for operating expense drivers and analysis. Interpret financial results, trends, and metrics to business partners and the broader finance organization.
Conduct and lead quarterly/monthly financial business reviews with Operations leadership and other senior management.
Manages annual budget processes, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning. Aligns budget to business strategies and gains alignment from business partners.
Develop complex modeling solutions, analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives.
Work cross-functionally to interpret business drivers influencing results. Effectively highlight the true business drivers and their sustainability (isolating from one-time events).
Collaborate with Information Systems and Engineering departments to ensure data integrity.
With controllership as a priority, drive continuous improvement by creating new analysis, innovating on current metrics and reporting and increasing accuracy. Identify areas for automation to create capacity for analysis and project work.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of financial planning, reporting and/or analysis experience.
At least 2 years of experience providing financial advice and counsel to P&L/business owners.
Experience contributing to strategic decision making and goal setting initiatives.
Experience leading profit improvement initiatives.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with large data sets (1 million+ rows)
Familiarity in SAP financial enterprise reporting system
Willing to travel for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Experience using or building models and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and other technology tools

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
