The Northern Trust Company seeks a Principal, Arch Solutions to design and develop application and infrastructure architectures across multiple technologies and programming languages. Design, solution, develop, and implement key software application cloud and resiliency projects. Develop application plans and directions to ensure the integration of corporate business area requirements. Prepare project plans and provide end to end project management activities and architecture solutions for application production stability and observability. Establish key IT strategies for application/infrastructure change and IT resiliency initiatives and develop automated solutions for critical business services. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 4 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 4 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation, employer will accept 6 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience must include a minimum of: 4 years of experience with IT project management and information system architecture methodologies; 3 years of experience working with business users to understand requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions and create system design architecture; 4 years of experience designing and developing strategies using architecture, automation frameworks, and automation scripting languages; 4 years of experience with Java, JavaScript, JDBC, jQuery, JSON, Log4j, Maven, object-oriented design, Python, SQL Server, Webservices, and XML; and 1 year of experience with DevOps automation, IAC pipelines, project delivery management tools, and Application Monitoring to design application health dashboards. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. #LI-DNI

Salary Range:
$148,949.00 to $233,600.00
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
