The USF School of Theatre & Dance is hosting the American Ballet Theatre Camp for three weeks. This is a residential camp, hosted in the USF dorms. We are looking for a Residence Life Coordinator that will reside in the dorms during the camp. They will plan and oversee all aspects of residential life including: training college interns, discipline and behavioral management, event planning, with a basic knowledge of first aid, who can serve as calm point person in emergency situations and dealing appropriately with parents.

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with four years of customer service related experience including at least one year of supervisory experience.

Must have experience with teenagers and adolescent development either through teaching, camp counseling, coursework etc.
\n
Clearance to work with minors by start of camp.
\n
First Aid/CPR certification from a recognized & accredited organization (i.e, Red Cross, AHA, etc.) by start of camp.

Conduct a robust recruitment and training program for student residential Guides. Training residential life staff to deal with behavior appropriately and to calibrate expectations and responses appropriately for the given age group.

Research and respond to complex inquiries from students, parents, and campus partners in order to provide or clarify information on Housing & Residential Education services, options, programs, policies or procedures. Create dynamic communication messaging that drive student engagement and support student success. Develop and maintain the editorial plan for all communication channels.
\n
Oversee daily management of on-campus housing assignments processes including residence hall assignments, room selection processes, room changes, space management, etc. for non-program specific populations. Oversee planning on residential life activities such as field trips, recreational activities, movie nights, etc.

Basic first aid knowledge and the ability to stay calm in a crisis. Knowledge of campus resources for health or safety emergency referrals. Works with department and campus partners to coordinate ADA assignments for students with special accommodation needs.

Develop and uphold clear consistent policies and procedures for residential conduct for a middle and high school population. Deal appropriately with behavioral and conduct issues that arise and maintain appropriate records and communication to leadership and parents as needed.
