FLEET AND FACILITIES COORDINATOR (Maintenance)
Follows maintenance schedule and schedules regular maintenance of vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
Repair facility or equipment as needed.
Provide basic maintenance services for plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.
Performs boiler maintenance.
Routinely checks all air and exhaust vents throughout buildings.
Performs ballast replacement, remodeling, and painting as needed.
Provides landscaping maintenance (mow, trim hedges, water, etc.) on a regular basis.
Follows all established safety procedures and precautions.
Reports unsafe/hazardous conditions and defective equipment to the supervisor.
Maintains infection control and universal precautions when performing all tasks.
Oversees maintenance shop inventory to ensure necessary equipment and parts levels are maintained, and purchases are within budget, and updates the supervisor on needs.
Orders urgent or emergency repairs as needed
Provides reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress.
Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Must be able to work around solvents, chemicals, degreasers, diesel fuel, etc.
Promptly and accurately complete all jobs, reports, and enter data into the computer.
Work and function both individually and as a team for building and repairing equipment.
Assess overall running condition/problems of cars, trucks, and trailers and share the report.
Ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was completed correctly
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all vehicles as needed.
Assists others with heavy lifting, rearranging of furniture as needed.
Constructs adaptive equipment.
Assist the Facilities Department as needed.
Keeps shop area safe and clean.
Accepts other assignments as directed.
This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the workplace. Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
