Processes quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake.
Job Responsibilities
Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed
Training: Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
Machine Operation: Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary
Operational Maintenance: Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes
Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives
Qualifications
Instruction Following: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Reading and Comprehension: Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions
Basic Math: Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Measuring Devices: Knowledge of using measuring devices
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Work Orders: Ability to read and understand work orders
Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history
Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
