Reports to: Senior Director, Product & Merchandising - UGG Women's Footwear
Location: Goleta, CA - Office Hybrid
The Role
The Director of Global Product Merchandising - UGG W Classic Boots & Slippers is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Product Line Managers through all phases of the product creation process, from identifying consumer and marketplace insights to presenting categories strategies at key go-to-market milestones. This encompasses writing product briefs and analyzing business metrics, researching marketplace trends, being the architect of merchandising plans, and collaborating with Design and Development partners to create the future vision of UGG footwear. In partnership with leadership, the Dir. of Product will drive the seasonal and long-range Product Strategy, ensuring that W Classic Boots and Slippers are properly strategized and supported against. This role will work cross-functionally and collaboratively within creation, alongside Design and Development.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of footwear across various product types. This candidate has a keen understanding of the Industry, Marketplace, and Trends at a Global Level with an eye for street fashion, high fashion, outdoors, and culture. This leader is deeply connected and savvy in consumer connectivity, understanding, filtering, and using experience and instinct to lead the product managers to craft inspiring seasonal narratives that articulate a vision, ignite design and empower development to problem solve and seek answers.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Category architect, driving force behind category evolution and new business opportunities
- Marketplace expert, finger on the pulse for trends, consumer insights and brings a visionary approach to product planning
- Strong understanding of productivity and profitability, striving for elevation of the offer
- Strategic approach to global line architecture, consumer attitudes and regional nuances
- Ability to translate key trends and market influences into growth driving product opportunities
- Formulate key strategies for the season, quantifying opportunities at global level
- Franchise management expertise, vision for product evolution
- Ability to conceptualize and drive strategic and product-led initiatives assessing risks and opportunities at play
- Full grasp and ownership of KPIs and financial targets

$200,000 - $210,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
