Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Debug Technician located in Austin, TX.

Work Shift : 7am – 3:30pm Mon-Fri

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Debug Technician's role conducts, tests, and troubleshoots electronic product, components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.

What a typical day looks like:

• Ensures that test processes are within all safety specifications.

• Coordinates and ensures that effective preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test process.

• Follows Engineering test processes and guideline.

• Configures/flashes firmware, CPLD, BIOS and PSA programming.

• Troubleshoots/debugs from system to components levels.  Ability to determine workmanship errors and drive back through feedbacks.

• Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment.

• Be able to troubleshoot units using schematic diagram and assembly process.

• Able to read fail defect logs and address trending failures.

• Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.

• Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Have experience and associate degree, technical training or equivalent experience.

• Requires ability to read schematic\drawing and use measurement instruments as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions

• Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: schematics, PCB point to point wiring; Cables: connector/ wire soldering; Testing: oscilloscope, cable & harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer; Inspection: PCB loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope

• Can perform analyses/work using some independent judgment
