Vendor Manager (Procurement) (Project Management)
Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing and new vendors.
Develop strategic relationships and joint business plans with suppliers to deliver improved performance for vendors within our stores, with a focus on growing customer baskets and improving vendor profitability.
Work collaboratively with all internal parties (buyer, operations, marketing, and senior leadership) to evaluate and select vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Resolve disputes and discrepancies with vendors promptly and professionally.
Procurement and Inventory:
Coordinate with the Buyer to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of cannabis products and non-cannabis inventory as necessary.
Collaborate with Buyer, Store Managers and other internal parties to forecast needs and prevent shortages.
Communication and Collaboration:
Act as liaison and point of contact between the company and its vendors.
Work closely with the operations and marketing teams to align vendor capabilities with the company's goals.
Provide regular reports to senior management on vendor performance and relationship status.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Vendor Management/Purchasing/Procurement or related field is required. Experience working within the Cannabis Industry is preferred.
2+ years of Microsoft Excel experience in a professional setting is required.
Experience developing and managing multiple vendor or client relationships.
Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to operate independently.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of cannabis industry trends and consumer behavior is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
Understanding of compliance requirements in the cannabis industry is preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or G.E.D required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will be performed in a normal office setting, with regular travel to various off-site locations to meet with outside clients, vendors and partners. Travel to various store locations to meet with internal customers will be routine. Noise levels in the office range from quiet to moderate, while work in the field may range from quiet to loud, but mostly moderate.

This position is classified as a sensitive Tribal position. Therefore, applicants must submit to and clear a preemployment criminal background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting while performing office tasks, like typing, operating computer and phone, etc.
Ability to travel to various locations for off site visits with clients
