ESG Reporting and Controls Manager (Project Management)
Job Description
Position Summary: Works with cross functional team to lead preparedness efforts for external mandatory reporting of Environmental, Social and Governance for the global Constellation organization. Works to ensure global compliance with ESG reporting requirements, internal controls, and company policies and procedures. Drives best practices through research, standardization, and awareness among business constituents.
Responsibilities:
Work with legal and sustainability teams to monitor and evaluate emerging compliance and reporting laws, rules and standards related to ESG for implications to the global Constellation Brands organization including but not limited to ESRSs, ISSB, SEC, state and local.
Research, provide guidance and assist in the implementation of laws, rules and standards applicable to the organization.
Complete annual double materiality assessments in compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and related standards.
Perform a detailed gap analysis between voluntarily reported ESG information and regulatory reporting requirements.
Develop and implement systematic method of identifying and tracking financial impact and spend in accordance with SEC rules and ESRSs.
Work with the business and internal audit to improve controls reliance over ESG reporting by identifying appropriate internal controls over ESG data collection and reporting, assisting in implementing controls, maintaining control documentation, monitoring for compliance and assessing potential control deficiencies.
Develop and implement an ESG reporting process aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and report ESG data, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance metrics for mandatory external reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely mandatory reporting of ESG information, including the preparation of ESG reports and disclosures.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of ESG information reported under mandatory regulations.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of ESG processes and controls across the organization.
Participate in industry working groups and forums to stay informed about ESG trends and best practices.
Assist with the coordination of internal and external audits.
Participate in and lead projects that arise as a result of business requirements, such as implementation of new software or process improvements.
Jointly responsible for updating and creating policies and procedures related to ESG, including data definitions that are consistent with regulatory reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Internal Control over Financial Reporting experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
CPA certification preferred.
6+ years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience with progressive responsibility and experience in the accounting function.
Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulations, and reporting standards, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, ESRSs, SEC, ISSB and California law preferred
Familiarity with ESG rating agencies, investor expectations, and industry benchmarks preferred
Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software; experience with SAP S4/HANA and OneStream a plus.
Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written).
Spanish language a plus.

Finance & AccountingThe salary range for this role is:
$100,600.00 - $157,300.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
