Job Overview: The Linde Gases US (LGUS) division of Linde plc is currently seeking a ROC (Remote Operations Center) Control Room Engineer for the Remote Operations Center (ROC) is located in Tonawanda, NY. The ROC remotely monitors and operates multiple facilities located throughout the United States. The ROC Engineer is focused on driving optimal production, efficiency and reliability for these facilities. Under minimal supervision, the ROC Engineer will be responsible for 8 to 10 Air Separation Facilities. Duties are complex in nature and require extensive knowledge of the air separation process. Primary Responsibilities: - ROC Engineer will be responsible for the monitoring their assigned plants (as well as other plants in ROC) for power usage, Argon recovery and overall plant efficiency on a daily basis. - Assist ROC Technicians in problem solving on plant issues, plant starts. - Be available off hours for assistance with plant issues or plant restarts. - Process information from plant control systems and rely on training and experience to make decisions on appropriate courses of action to maintain proper plant operation. - Work with local plant and central engineering staff to trouble shoot plant issues. - Use tools such as SEEQ, plant trends and alarm history. - Follow safety policies and operating procedures at all times. Qualifications: - Must be able to support up to 15-20% travel for on-site support of facilities. - Technical training and Operations experience desirable. - Work experience in chemical process or power generation operations. - Recent college graduate with Degree in an Engineering related field.
