The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As the Director of Procurement Excellence, in Solventum, you will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement practices are aligned with the business goals, industry standards, and best practices. In this role you will partner with the procurement teams across all areas of procurement to define and execute strategies on Responsible Procurement and Supplier Sustainability, Procurement Technology solutions and roadmap, Project Management and Reporting and Analytics. Accountable for meeting financial and budget requirements such as savings reporting, commodity tracking, working capital expectations and reporting related to accounts payable (A/P) cash. You will implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Solventum and the procurement function. This role will report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Consults with leadership team to set strategic direction and operating plans for Responsible Procurement, including ensuring Solventum's third party vendor base is fulfilling all requirements around laws and regulations, country specific guidelines and our own guidelines. Manages all our supplier related ESG initiatives, in collaboration and alignment with our Sustainability Leader.
2. Manages and ensures compliance to Supplier Diversity goals and requirements.
3. Manages all Global Procurement policies and ensures creation and updating, distribution and adherence of / to them. Manages the safe digital storage and companywide enablement of said policies.
4. Consults with Procurement leadership team to set strategic direction and operating plans for Global Procurement Technology Stack, including but not limited to contract lifecycle management (CLM), spend cube, savings tracking tool, risk management tools (incl. vendor site mapping), commodity tracking, tail spend management, e-Sourcing (RFx, e-auction) tools, catalogue enablement, vendor enablement and communication.
5. Manages the Reporting & Analytics functions within Global Procurement.
6. Management responsibility usually encompasses several work groups/departments within one or more procurement areas. Determines priorities, timetables and assigns resources/tasks. Accountable for the activities and results of their functional area.
7. Creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
8. Resolves issues and conflicts related to direct reports.
9. Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with Solventum's values and ethical standards. Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
