JOB BRIEF
The Peace Processes & Reconciliation team provides direct support to a range of stakeholders engaged in various stages of peace processes. The team leads USIP's work on negotiation, mediation, dialogue, reconciliation and ceasefires.
The Senior Expert will be a core member of a dynamic team providing capacity-building support as well as technical expertise on issues including dialogue facilitation, mediation support, peace process design, multilateral diplomatic practice, and ceasefires. The Senior Expert will provide strategic guidance, support design and operationalization of dialogues, and serve as a comparative analyst on issues including national dialogues, political negotiation formats, stakeholder consultations, and Track I and Track II processes.
This is a full-time position and will be based in Washington, DC for candidates with U.S. citizenship or a Permanent Resident Card. The Senior Expert will report to the Director, Peace Processes & Reconciliation, within USIP's Gandhi-King Global Academy.

TARGET SALARY
Grade 14 - $ 139,000- $144,000
The Institute uses the General Schedule salary tables for administering compensation. Offers are determined based upon candidate qualifications, related experience, internal equity, and the amount budgeted for the position.
