Birch Family Services
INTERN, MILL BASIN ECC (Finance)
The experience is designed to provide students the opportunity to broaden their skillset in a desired program area and to create meaningful connections. Interns may receive instruction in providing counseling and/or case management for persons we support, keeping updated client files and progress notes, facilitating groups and planning activities. Upon completion of the internship assignment, and upon graduation, our interns receive priority consideration for possible full-time employment in one of our many programs.
To be considered for an internship assignment, students must meet the minimum screening requirements and will be required to follow all rules and regulations established by Birch, regulatory agencies, and the student internship agreement.
Types of Internships Available
Birch Family Services offers UNPAID educational opportunities.
Once a student or an institute of higher learning contacts Birch Family Services to express interest in a possible intern placement, Human Resources will verify that a fully executed education affiliation agreement exists on file. If a current agreement does not exist, one must be established prior to start of intern assignment.
Transportation to and from the assigned worksite, and for related business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including to/from the worksite) will be reimbursed.
Birch Family Services reserves the right to terminate the internship assignment of the student whose application materials are found to be fraudulent. Birch Family Services also has the right to terminate the intern if, in the opinion of the supervisor, the intern's fails to measure up to standards of conduct or performance.
