Join our dynamic team as a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and embark on a rewarding journey in resident care. Under the guidance of licensed physical therapists, you'll play a key role in administering personalized rehabilitation programs for residents with chronic conditions or recovering from surgery or injury. Essential Job Functions
Unleash your creativity and collaboration as you assess resident health, incorporating innovative approaches based on physical therapist interpretations and evaluations.Dive into the excitement of implementing resident treatment plans, conducting manual exercises, and motivating residents to engage in physical activities and use supportive devices.Inspire and educate! Instruct residents on therapeutic regimens, share insights on normal growth and development, and champion wellness and health maintenance.Craft a vibrant narrative of resident care services, documenting progress and achievements in both resident and department records.Foster a safe and thriving environment for physical therapy, ensuring adherence to organizational standards, policies, and legal regulations.Embrace the challenge of meeting and exceeding physical therapy production objectives, staying attuned to evolving treatment trends.Be the maestro of physical therapy equipment, keeping it operational through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.Keep the energy flowing by managing physical therapy supplies anticipate needs, place orders, and maintain a well-stocked environment.Safeguard resident confidence and uphold organizational integrity by treating information with the utmost confidentiality and addressing potential concerns collaboratively.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy Assistants and a valid registered license for the state in which employed. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills. Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service. Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook. Acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience, preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
The various responsibilities for a Physical Therapy Assistant are often physically demanding and require that therapists be in good physical condition.
Engage in tasks requiring close visual acuity, such as data analysis and computer operation.Communicate effectively with patients, staff, management, and clients, ensuring accurate and professional exchanges of information.Navigate and endure various physical activities, including walking, standing, balancing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.Independently perform maximum assist patient transfers, balancing a 75% employee and 25% patient effort.Position and transfer patients, supplies, and equipment with ease and efficiency.Embrace the physical demands of the role, involving occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds, and constant exertion of up to 20 pounds to move objects.
