Position Summary

Creates an environment where full context is provided to drive strategy for moderately complex, transformative initiatives. Develops and validates the IT architecture against requirements of the business for initiatives of moderate architectural impact. Sets direction and achieves alignment around the IT strategy and determines the best path to achieve it. Empowers the organization to efficiently make high-quality technology and process decisions that enable our business vision in environments that require moderate sophistication in relationship building and partnership. May perform duties in one or more of the following practices: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Technology Architecture.

This opportunity is for a seasoned solution architect with experience in the property casualty insurance industry claims technology function. This person will serve on ERIE's Claims Management Program leadership team, guiding, directing and facilitating the creation of options and high level designs to direct agile teams in creating industry leading Claims Service capabilities. In this role, you will translate business needs to initiative solution options and context for future state planning. You will interact with ERIE leadership to provide visibility on initiative progress to validate that designs are realized through delivery.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Bachelors' degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field plus 5 years with related experience and 3 years in architecture

• Architecture experience equal to two domains or portfolios

• AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification

• AWS/Cloud Experience

• Guidewire Claims Platform experience or equivalent

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Experience operating as a solution architect with Agile teams

• Property and Casualty Claims technology and solution development experience

- AWS Cloud experience

Qualifications

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus five years' related experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field, plus seven years' related experience.
  • High School Diploma plus nine years' related experience.
