FP&A Manager, Marketing (Finance)
The Financial Planning and Analysis team provides comprehensive financial insight into our business, forecasting and driving efficient growth. We partner with teams across The Knot Worldwide to provide timely insights, reporting, and analysis on key business decisions. The Manager / Sr. Manager's primary function is to coordinate, analyze and report financial information across the Company, with a primary focus on partnership with the Marketing organization. This role provides management with reporting and analysis of monthly Marketing & other corporate financial results on a consistent basis in addition to supporting ad-hoc finance projects. As an experienced FP&A professional, you will help scale our planning and analysis capabilities, globally, across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Modeling - Identify key drivers and create financial models to reflect strategic priorities.
• Analysis - Design and execute regular financial analysis to identify critical areas for attention and the evaluation of strategic options.
• Reporting - Preparation and presentation of financial reporting for management, the Board, and other key stakeholders. Provide meaningful and informative analysis to explain any variations in the business results from the financial plan. Focus on automation and system driven solutions.
• Planning - Develop department-level financial budgets and forecasts utilizing inputs from department managers and project-focused spending plans. Establish a deep understanding of key drivers of each supported function and leverage data to build insights about our products and competitors.
• Collaboration - Effectively collaborate with the Accounting team on completion of monthly and quarterly financial closes and incorporation of actual results into the rolling forecast.
• Partner with department managers outside of the Finance and Accounting teams as necessary for forecast inputs, ad hoc analysis and process improvements.
• Take initiative to automate management reporting and document business processes.
• Help develop and monitor critical success metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or statistics is preferred. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong quantitative analysis skills.
• 6+ years experience in a financial/analytical role with a record of increasing responsibility.
• Experience partnering with Marketing organizations in an FP&A capacity, with a strong understanding of different Marketing teams/functions and how they fit into the overall value proposition
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Slides, & Excel.
• Ability to build models from scratch as well as improve existing models, ensuring their quality, timeliness and accuracy.
• Experience with enterprise-grade financial systems.
• Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills.
• Experience working in consumer-facing or SaaS technology/web-enabled businesses.
• Experience with NetSuite and/or OneStream enterprise systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in meetings and describe deliverables and project milestones.
• Experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets.
• Self-Starter that is willing to take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive towards goals.
• Team player, highly collaborative and accountable, and a positive contributor to the team environment.
• High Energy and innovative, with the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.
• Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system.
• Experience in investment banking, investment research, or big 4.
• International business experience and Spanish language skills are both a plus.
