Job Description Summary
Wintrust is looking for a talented and innovative Digital Art Director who can support our burgeoning creative team and develop and maintain a passionate understanding and working knowledge of the company's business, brand, consumer, and competitive landscape. This role involves inspiring and managing a team of junior and production-level designers, promoting their growth and ability to solve problems.
You will work closely with Marketing Leadership, Project Managers, Account Managers, and other team members to gather the necessary information to complete assignments successfully and timely. Drive forward creative operation efficiencies to maximize team efforts and help streamline the process. Communicate clearly and consistently with V.P. of Creative and CMO to meet deliverables and flag potential issues.
In addition, you will be required to develop new design templates and instructional materials to further assist your team, establish new branding guidelines and find efficiencies in the department's processes.
What You'll Do
Lead a team of junior and mid-level designers, coach them in best practices to develop more effective marketing campaigns. Provide guidance, leadership and mentorship to the creative services team by managing performance and developing team members. Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully.
Lead in-house and external designers and illustrators on conceptual designs.
Determine design needs, come up with ideas to streamline our processes in order to maximize efficiency and allow the team more ability to focus on higher impact projects. Communicate to leadership and other members of the team.
Collaborate cross-functionally across various departments to cultivate a cohesive working culture.
Maintain a high level of efficiency, understanding where design labor should be spent and addressing areas of inefficiency within our design workflow.
Brainstorm, conceptualize, design, and develop new creative templates in both print and digital mediums (newsletters, flyers, emails, social media, landing pages.) Direct the visual elements of our campaigns. Provide project quality control.
Research up-to-date and emerging technologies and developments in the design field and implement them when appropriate.
Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience
7-10 years of experience in related field
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Expert-level knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), digital ad tools (WYSIWIG email and digital ad builders).
Strong knowledge of project management software (Workfront, Egnyte, MS Teams)
Ability to manage workflows, deadlines, and resource allocation.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 - $129,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience
