PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for performing all laboratory functions concerning oil sampling and testing. Provides direct communication on data analysis results, laboratory experiment operation and daily lab activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Conducts the routine administrative functions of the SOS Lab to include sample registration, answering telephones, orders supplies, cleans and maintains laboratory equipment and facilities.
2. Operates laboratory equipment, including Spectrometer, Viscosity, Infrared Instruments. Conducts daily oil samples to determine the amount of various metals present. Performs the necessary procedures for testing oil for antifreeze, fuel dilution and water.
3. Attends training sessions to stay abreast of innovations in testing procedures and oil analysis. Maintains a current library of oil analysis literature.
4. Participates with supervisor in the development of objectives for the laboratory and the SOS program. Carries out established testing objectives in a timely, professional and cost effective manner. Maintains testing volume and results information.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education :
High school graduate
Work Experience :
Should have general exposure to laboratory equipment.
Physical :
Must have basic computer skills exposure with Microsoft Office familiarity
