Chef Tournant - Caribe Hilton (Finance)

The iconic Caribe Hilton is looking for their next Chef Tournant to join their Culinary team.

Located on a beautiful peninsula in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it is a vibrant destination beach-front resort! Sitting on 17 acres of tropical landscape, the resort is just a short distance from Old San Juan, the vibrant Condado district and the Puerto Rico Convention Center. Featuring a picturesque ocean-side boardwalk, 652 guest rooms and 65,000 square feet of meeting space. Ideal Candidate will be Bilingual and have at least 5 years of Cook experience.

Shift Pattern:Flexible schedule required. Rotating shifts throughout the week.

Pay Rate:$22.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Chef Tournant, you are responsible for leading and training staff and ensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Chef Tournant will also be required to manage food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Lead and train the team
• Relieve cooks and chefs for various shifts
• Supervise Culinary team and Stewarding Team while on shift
• Ensure all food preparation consistently meets standards
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
• Requisition food needed for preparation of all meals
• Ensure resources meet business needs through the effective management of working hours
• Support brand standards through the training and assessment of your team
• Manage food cost controls to contribute to Food and Beverage revenue
• Manage kitchen and Steward brigades effectively to ensure a well-organized and motivated team
• Knowledge of activities in other departments and implications
