PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Repair, rebuild and test Caterpillar components; primarily engines, transmissions and torque converters following established procedures and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education :
Must have a high school education or GED. Certificate or associate degree from a community college or technical school is preferred.
Work Experience :
Four years of experience, knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is preferred. Or a combination of education and experience.
Physical :
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write, and hear to perform the essential functions of this job. Additionally, the individual must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The following may be expected to be encountered: long periods of standing, working with oils and grease, noise, stooping, bending, squatting and exposure to seasonal heat and cold.
Other :
Must be able to effectively write repair activities on customer work orders. Must have cognitive reasoning and problem-solving skills to apply knowledge, written information, and verbal instructions in repairing/servicing unusual and/or unknown technical equipment operational problems. Should have exposure to P.C. base equipment and parts information.

This may include failure analysis as required.\nPerform dynamometer and bench tests using CAT specs.\nComplete all required paperwork or electronic data entry in an accurate and timely manner. This may include service reports, daily time entry, warranty, or core information, etc. \nMaintain and utilize work areas, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment. \nComply with established safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.\nEffectively participates as part of the team; leading and assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed. \nOwn and maintain required personal tools. \nDemonstrates and promotes Gregory Poole Equipment Company's core values of Commitment, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Safety.\n\n \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\n \nEducation:\nMust have a high school education or GED.
