Behavioral Health Clinician (FT/PRN) - Autism CSU - Conyers, GA. (Healthcare)
View Point Health is a state agency of Georgia that provides individual and group counseling, medication management, recovery and crisis stabilization services for behavioral health and developmental disabilities. Our facility is a 10-bed crisis stabilization unit located on 7 beautiful acres of land in Conyers, Georgia. We serve adolescents ages 10-14 on the Autism Spectrum and provide a strong multidisciplinary team approach incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis, mental health clinical services, and medication management.
Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.Provides persons, families or vulnerable populations with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute or terminal illnesses and physical or developmental disabilities. Provides patient education and counseling, advises caregivers, and makes necessary referrals for other social services.Provides individual and group counseling to Autism Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) - Conyers. Cover a caseload of up to 10 clients and entails: Conducting assessment as well as completes and regularly updates treatment plan.Facilitating and documenting groups. Providing discharge planning.Completes authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames. Implementing case management/ linking services with community continuum of care. Clinical support based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy / Interception.Attend treatment team daily to discuss client progress and 72-hour treatment reviews.Document ongoing client progress.Gathering collateral information from family members.Assisting with visitation as needed.Provide some weekend coverage. Support and be cross-trained in Triage duties, oversight of interns to assist with caseload and additional duties as assigned.Documents client contacts in ECR within 24 hours; provides crisis intervention services as needed including facilitating emergency 1013 hospitalizations as needed; writes SMART treatment plans, completes biopsychosocial assessments and completes verified diagnoses. Billing targets are required.Provides individual, family or group therapeutic counseling and/or educational and skill development sessions as indicated in the service plan. Monitors consumer progress and compliance with the service plan. Writes timely progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan. Assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated assessment information about the consumer in order to assess treatment needs. Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and develop/modifies the treatment plan as indicated. Requests treatment authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames. Provides and bills for services.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed; MUST have a Georgia License as an LCSW or LPC
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be a fully licensed clinician LPC or LCSW in the state of Georgia.At least two years of experience working with children and adolescent in an inpatient facility.LPC, LCSW, LAPC, LMSW license.Experience making verified diagnoses. Interventions, Diagnosing, Treatment Plans.Experience with Carelogic ECR.Experience with Care Logic or other EMR.Is comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation.Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screenAny combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
