POSITION SUMMARY:
Department of Surgery is requesting to post/hire a Division Administrator to support to the assigned divisions. The candidate will report to the Department Administrator. Candidate would be directly responsible for ensuring that administrative and operational activities comply with Department, university, practice and educational policies and procedures. The candidate is responsible for the training and development of all direct reports and providing guidance/direction to other division level staff resources. The Department of Surgery has a large workforce of over 200 employees spread across eight divisions, all committed to achieving excellence in clinical care, education, and research. Over the past two years, the department has witnessed substantial growth and remains dedicated to recruiting and enhancing its programs. It comprises a diverse and highly skilled team of surgeons, each an expert in their specialized area. The department actively participates in both clinical and fundamental scientific research, contributing to the development of groundbreaking surgical techniques and treatment methods.MINIMUM:
This position requires a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of four years related exempt experience.
SB1310 equivalency-may substitute four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field , or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields.

Financial Oversight & Strategic Planning
Lead financial planning, budget development, and fiscal monitoring for assigned divisions.
Oversee revenue and expense projections, financial reporting, and adherence to financial austerity measures.
Identify operational efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and strategies to achieve financial target margins.
Manage contract renegotiations, working with legal and contract partners to secure increases.
Lead divisional strategic planning, setting short- and long-term goals aligned with the department's mission.
Operational Management & Workflow Improvement
Partner with stakeholder in oversight of clinic operations, monitor provider performance, and develop operational reporting for analysis.
Work jointly with the hospital leadership on strategy initiatives centered around provider operations.
Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
Explore and develop new business opportunities that align with divisional and departmental goals.
Ensure smooth execution of division operations by overseeing existing and new operational activities
Faculty & Staff Recruitment, Development, and Supervision
Manage divisional faculty recruitment efforts, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and facilitating search committees.
Develop faculty proformas that align with practice benchmarks for recruitment committees.
Oversee staff hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development.
Address staffing shortfalls, ensure coverage, and foster strong working relationships among team members.
Compliance & Administrative Leadership
Ensure divisional compliance with faculty recruitment and hiring policies.
Lead and supervise divisional administrative staff, ensuring adherence to policies, development, and operational effectiveness.
Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with financial agreements and department policies.
Participate in key departmental projects that support divisional and organizational growth.
Revenue Cycle & Financial Reporting
Oversee divisional revenue cycle operations, ensuring efficiency in billing and collections.
Monitor clinic productivity and financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Manage purchasing, accounts payable, and foundation support to ensure fiscal accountability.
Prepare and present financial reports and budgets, ensuring compliance with department expectations.
