Quality Inspector (Project Management)
Schedule: 2nd Shift
How Will You Make an Impact?
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet Jabil's quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. By conducting routine inspections and following established procedures, you will help maintain product integrity, drive efficiency, and support continuous improvement efforts, all while adhering to safety regulations.
What Will You Do?
Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality at various production stages.
Inspect in-process and finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.
Read and follow visual aids, engineering change notices, and operating procedures to determine product acceptance or rejection.
Work under the close supervision of a Manufacturing Supervisor or designated lead.
Follow standardized quality assurance inspection procedures.
Conduct visual inspections using magnifying glasses, lot sampling methods, first article checks, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines.
Enter standardized data into a computerized MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to indicate product pass/fail status.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position.
Comply with company security policies and procedures.
How Will You Get Here?
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Degree or coursework in a related field preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a Jabil production role or equivalent external experience in quality inspection.
Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, visual aids, and work instructions.
Basic proficiency in computer data entry (MES system experience preferred).
Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
QC certification required.
Experience working with AOI machines and first article inspections.
