This position requires a male figure with parental or caretaker experience due to the specific mentorship and guidance that many young individuals seek from a father figure. The role is designed to support those who may lack such guidance in their lives, making the BFOQ legally justified under mentorship and counseling programs where gender and parental experience directly impact service quality.
We are looking for a Fatherhood Engagement Coordinator who must have:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, criminology, or a closely related area
At least 2 years of experience in human services, child welfare, or juvenile justice, preferably working with underserved or diverse populations.
At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Experience with structured groups, parent education, and training is preferred.
Experience in community outreach and agency liaison work is desired.
Prior lived experience and working with fathers is highly valued
Must have a valid driver's license, ability to use a personal vehicle for work purposes, and appropriate vehicle insurance.
BAYS is a drug-free workplace. We prohibit the use, possession, or distribution of controlled substances on company premises or during work hours.
