Associate VP, Advancement & Alumni Operations (Finance)
The Associate Vice President of Operations for the Division of Advancement & Alumni will develop, plan, and implement programs for Advancement & Alumni Operations, to include: Business Services, Information Technology & Reporting, Desktop Support, Training, Recruitment, and administrative oversight.
1. Oversees the execution of successful university Advancement operations programs. 2. Develops long and short-range strategic plans for technology, design strategies and identify resources needed for goals to be meet.
3. Plans, develops, and implements staff development programs including, recruitment, on-boarding, training and facilitation of division-wide service culture and implementation of employee relations and communications strategies.
4. Oversees the preparation of annual budget for department programs, provide direction for strategic planning and development.
5. Develops and implements policies and procedures and ensures compliance with university and state regulations.
6. Expands the Advancement division's impact and resources development identification and engagement of new funding partners (corporate, foundation and individuals).
7. Assists with the execution of a successful fundraising and alumni relations plans, both as a member of the senior leadership team and through the support services under direction.
8. Implements executive reporting packages that meet the changing landscape of the $1 B campaign and expanding alumni relations program.
9. Oversees the administration of the divisions accounting records, including the University of Houston Alumni Association Foundation 501(c)(
10. Ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures and supervises business audit reviews
11. Performs other job related as needed.
MQ: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
