JOB SUMMARY
Medline Industries, Inc. Information Technology Department is seeking a B2C web ecommerce Lead Developer to join our E-
Commerce technology team. This is an opportunity to lead a team of developers responsible for configuring, tuning and the
maintenance of athome.medline.com and other B2C ecommerce applications. Qualified applicants will have recognized strength
and experience working in the entire development lifecycle for an application, including both back-end and front-end development.
We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate
organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Website Development and Management
· Drive the requirements, implementation, and maintenance of a user-friendly and responsive web site
· Oversee the day-to-day development of the web site, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security
· Serves as an IS point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product, functional and
technical area.
· Leads story breakdown activities for the development squad.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in developer portal management
· Provide technical support to developers, addressing their questions and issues
2. Engagement
· Develop and execute strategies to engage and retain developers
· Foster collaboration and communication among different teams involved in the developer ecosystem
· Collaborates with the Product Owner and Business Analyst in backlog grooming activities.
· Creates and delivers documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented efforts.
3. Team Leadership
· Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback
· Leads story breakdown activities for the development squad.
· Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and set project timelines
· Follows and helps to establish development standards.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Certification / Licensure
None required.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience
At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on software development
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Proficiency in Magento
· Highly knowledgeable in web development technologies and best practices
· Knowledge of security principles related to web applications
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
· Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach
