The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the staffing schedules for the clinical and non-clinical staff at Evan Terrace Post-Acute. This includes ensuring that staffing needs are met according to patient care demands while maintaining compliance with state regulations and internal policies. The Staffing Coordinator will work closely with nursing, HR, and department managers to ensure shifts are covered, staffing shortages are addressed, and the facility operates efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Management: Create and maintain weekly staff schedules for nurses, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Staffing Adjustments: Address any staffing shortages or absences by coordinating last-minute coverage, using a combination of internal staff, agency staff, or other resources.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clinical staff, department heads, and HR to ensure staffing needs are met and shifts are filled promptly.
Payroll Support: Work closely with the HR department to ensure that staff hours are accurately recorded and reported for payroll purposes.
Compliance: Ensure staffing meets state and federal regulatory requirements, including maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
Reporting: Generate and review staffing reports to identify trends, potential gaps, and any compliance issues.
Problem-Solving: Resolve scheduling conflicts or issues that arise due to staff absences, tardiness, or other staffing-related concerns.
Staffing Optimization: Collaborate with HR and department managers to identify opportunities to optimize staff schedules and improve efficiency.
On-Call Support: Be available for on-call support during off-hours or weekends to handle urgent staffing needs or emergencies.
