To be considered for this role, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder and have resided in the U.S. for a minimum of three consecutive years.
This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.
UX Designer
Organizational Expectations:
As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, creation, and maintenance of UX design and research standards for customers in the Federal Reserve System. You will be responsible for analysis, design, creation and maintenance of UX design and research standards for customers in the Federal Reserve System. You will provide support and guidance across multiple development teams including analyzing data and collecting deliverables to support successful implementation of UX best practices while keeping abreast of current UX design and research practices.
General Responsibilities:
Create user flows, style guides, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and design artifacts (wireframes, etc.) that work on various browsers and mobile platforms
Produce designs that are compliant with current web accessibility guidelines
Actively participates in all phases of the product lifecycle, including product ideation, user persona definition, requirement elicitation, cross-discipline UX design sessions, usability testing, and data analytics.
Applies fundamental design principles to products so they effectively use typography, color, composition, and space to present information.
Conceptualizes and articulates strong, user-centered interactions, while balancing the needs of the business and the capabilities of technology.
Remains current with new technologies, frameworks, and trends; advises the enterprise; and pursues the latest opportunities that will improve the UX.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree and 5 years of related work experience or,
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience or,
Master's degree and 1 years of related work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Fundamental design principles that affect typography, color use, composition, use of space, and presentation of information
Fluent in HTML and CSS, including responsive design
Web accessibility guidelines
eCommerce web, mobile web, and UX design
Implementing designs and creating test-ready prototypes in an agile development environment
Extensive experience with some or all of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, SASS, Sketch, Foundation/Bootstrap, GIT, Javascript (jQuery, AngularJS)
Prototyping tools (for example, Axure, Balsamiq, invisionapp)
