Manager Collaborative Tools (Finance)

Oversee assets. Exercises staff oversight to ensure IS operations, plans, policies, procedures, and all IS enterprise collaborative tools application initiatives are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives. Hires, manages and develops team staffing. Participates in budgeting projections.
Increases productivity. Continually strives to improve the company productivity by identifying new technologies, upgrade initiatives, application changes and new vendors that will provide increased productivity and overall benefit to the firm.
Customer Advocacy . Look at every problem and solution in the eyes of our business partners. Works with stakeholders in all business units to formulate scope and objectives for new enterprise initiatives and to drive down software issues. Partners with business stakeholders, support managers and product managers to prioritize, analyze, define and manage backlog by gathering enhancement, recurring issue, and technical debt requests as the business needs evolve. Develops and maintains working relationships with business leaders/strategy owners and advises IT leadership through objective metrics of progress and recommended directional changes to current state.
Manages the Collaborative tools Team by using deep subject matter expertise to help identify a problem, drive towards a solution, and measure efficiency savings. Key interface between business users and collaborative tools engineers. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of IT leadership and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Develop, guide, and coach team to build and maintain a stable client technology and Microsoft 365 environment supporting all administrative functions. All desktop productivity tools are included in the suite, including but not limited to Account setups/ integration to Simmons network credentials/Multi Factor authentication/ Outlook/ Teams/ Unified Communications / one drive/SharePoint/data governance (files), and how its structured, configured and then supported (including training). O365 security and email protection setup, legal discovery, and retention processing. This position interfaces directly with clients, support teams including but not limited to service desk, application teams, Security and network teams. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to desktop deployment strategy and client/server patch oversite.
Ensures Business Continuity. Develops, and continually improves upon, all relevant aspects of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) in conjunction with the Director, Technology. Includes planning, prevention, and recovery efforts of outages involving business critical IS systems and services.
Administration. Support enterprise use of Server systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and coordinates activities of ERP system administrators, database administrators, and server administrators. Participates in all system-related design and deployment projects, including software and network upgrades. Identify and implement processes that improve performance of internal operations as it relates to Simmons Information Systems infrastructure and ERP systems. Confers with vendors regarding systems and services within the Simmons Information Systems infrastructure areas. Oversee development, testing, evaluation and installation of patches, upgrades and enhancements. Ensures development and documentation of policies that support and maintain Simmons Information Services systems and govern change management.
Architecture. Help determine and drive needed changes to Simmons information systems architectural standards according to industry best practices.
Plans office relocation. Provides guidelines for IT systems required in the planning of new offices and office relocations, in coordination with other departments. Ensures that assistance and coordination of technological component installations have been scheduled and are being provided for all relocation and new office efforts.
Coordinates Policies and Procedures. Coordinates with the Director, Technology on new IS policies and procedures. Develops guidelines and standards for IS equipment, applications, systems, usage and installation methods. Participates in IS Strategic Planning for IS standards, resource allocation and budgeting. Consults with IS Senior management on project scheduling and solutions development.
Manages employees. Directs and supervises employees' work activities and monitors work performance. Collaborates with Human Resources to screen, interview and hire candidates. Administers disciplinary actions and recommends performance improvement actions in collaboration with the HR Manager. Monitors work performance and recommends compensation decisions based on guidelines. Follows Simmons values to develop and maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees. Promotes a cooperative and harmonious environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.
Travel: Approximately 10% travel, including travel to Simmons facilities, one to two offsite classes or conferences per year. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
Technical Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT Infrastructure support with 5 years in Microsoft M365 experience. Prefer Microsoft M365 related certifications. Candidates for this role should possess a wealth of technical expertise, ADFS, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune and Teams with client-side troubleshooting of Outlook on PC, MAC, and mobile devices. Experience with PowerShell information gathering and automation. Furthermore, candidates are preferred to have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a Cloud Systems Engineering/DevOps role within a mission-critical environment. This experience should be complemented by an intimate knowledge of system administration, performance tuning, and file system optimization
Industry Experience: Preference for food processing organization.
Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field, or 4 years related experience.
Preferred Education : MS degree in Information Services or in Computer Science, or 5+ years related work experience.
