Bid Team Leader (Manufacturing)
Will supervise and collaborate with the Project Bid Coordinator, the Project Administrative Assistant, and Project Engineer I. Bid Team Leader is responsible to communicate with and hold accountable the Bid team to goals set by bid team leader and conduct reviews of bid teams' performance. May be assigned other direct reports as appropriate.
Essential functions
Communicate with leadership team to prioritize bid opportunities.
Build relationships with different organizations who can use our services.
Build relationships with different businesses that can use our services.
Search out new bid opportunities to provide new types of services.
Build and hold accountable the bid team, assigns tasks to team members.
Reviews all project opportunities and grants opportunities.
Visits project sites to gather information.
Creates and or oversees the computation of all project costs, budget development for each project opportunity, completes all financial aspects of all contract proposals, financial reports, and job cost.
Presents prepared estimates and assumptions for review before submission.
Assesses the financial, technical, and operational risks of the project.
Is responsible for the review and weekly status of all bid opportunities bid submitted new opportunities to JV or subcontract to a Prime contractor and reports to upper management for each project or opportunity.
Overviews, maintains records, and reports related to all bids and ensures proper record keeping and storage on company server.
Ability to communicate with 3rd party project administrators, JV management teams, co-workers, and the public effectively.
Is responsible for the creation of the closed project overview reports and presentation to the Upper Management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Have good communication skills with all departments and clients.
Be able to create complex financial spreadsheets, formulas for job costing, and project budgets.
Have proven accounting, budgeting, mathematics, statistics, or financial analysis skills.
Excel at meeting deadlines and maintain the daily workflow of the department.
Excellent accounting reconciliation experience, and able to identify errors and fix them.
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.

Work environment
All work is performed outside in all types of various weather (i.e. heat, cold, wind, sun and inclement weather, etc.)
Exposure to all types of terrain.
Exposure to all elements of nature on a regular basis.
Exposure to loud noise.
Exposure to fumes, odors, gases, dusts, etc.
Administrative work when performed in an office environment requires:
Sitting for prolonged periods of time using a computer keyboard, mouse, and screen.
Standing and walking may require twisting, reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Grasping, pushing, pulling, dragging, and lifting boxes of files and other office items weighing 30 pounds or less.
Mobility, vision, hearing, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.

Able to push and pull with hands, arms, and feet repetitively.
Must have good visual and auditory physical capabilities in order to manage sight and sounds in a hazardous construction environment.

Able to be alert and cognitive of multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including awareness of other employees, subcontractors, machinery, equipment, and moving traffic when applicable.
Ability to work around loud noises.
Coordination between hands, eyes, feet to guide equipment and objects is required.
Must be able to mount and dismount safely off vehicles and equipment.
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Must be able to walk on uneven terrain.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel Required
Position travels outside the local area but usually within Northern California up to 40% of the time. Travel time will mainly be to project job sites for pre-bid analysis or project meetings at various localities. Overnight or longer periods of travel and staying near project sites may be required as needed.
Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in the areas of Business, Business Management, Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Project Management, Mathematics or Statistics, or Engineering, or 5 to 10 years verified work experience in a similar role with mathcing responsibilities and requirement.
1 years' experience in supervision role and responsibility.
Preferred education and experience
Master's Degree (Preferred) in the areas of Business, Business Management, Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Project Management, Mathematics or statistics, or Engineering.
Forestry: 1-3 years (Preferred)
Additional eligibility requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license.
Clean Driving Record: 5 years (Required).
Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen.
