Summary of Position
The position will report into the Marketing and Communications Operations team, which oversees the technology, marketing and communications platforms that support the enterprise. In this role, the intern will contribute to developing and implementing generative AI tools that enhance efficiency and innovation within the MarCom landscape. Leveraging AWS technologies, including Amazon Q and related platforms, the intern will explore, prototype, and deploy AI-driven solutions tailored to the needs of the Marketing and Communications team at the company. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and strategic marketing operations.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, test, and refine generative AI applications using AWS platforms, primarily Amazon Q to build on foundation models via Bedrock, to support marketing and communications objectives.
Work with the Marketing/Communications Operations team to RAG tune models and develop a standardized brand voice across a suite of gen AI tools. Integrating internal company data around our capabilities and solutions into the models to ensure high quality, accurate and consistent messaging.
Assist in creating AI-driven tools that facilitate and enhance content generation and support personalized engaging messaging for various audiences.
Conduct research on emerging generative AI technologies and apply insights to enhance the effectiveness of tools and workflows.
Prepare documentation and deliver training sessions to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of AI solutions across teams.
Qualifications
Major(s): Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Marketing Technology (MarTech) or Digital Marketing (with a tech emphasis)
Class Year(s): Rising Senior, Recent Graduate, Graduate Students
GPA: Min 3.0
Availability: Must be available to work in St. Petersburg Florida from May 19, 2025 – Aug 8, 2025
Technical Skills:
Experience or coursework in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Basic coding skills (Python, Javascript) and familiarity with concepts around data manipulation, API interaction, and writing simple automation scripts
Understanding of ML/AI including basic understanding of foundation models and fine-tuning models
Gen AI skills such as prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
Interest in applying AI to solve real-world business and marketing challenges.
