AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Specialist (Information Technology)

Enterprise Support (ES) Consolidates accountability for all technology support services across the Bank. Oversees infrastructure and operations support processes to ensure stability and continuous improvement of the production environments.
Your role as AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Specialist:
Provide infrastructure engineering and engineering support throughout the Bank. Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products.
Build cloud infrastructure engineering capabilities and support administration of various AWS environments. Developing implementation strategy, building procedures/guidelines and providing insight into best practices.
Work closely with NIT Partners and other FRS entities to influence the implementation direction of Technology to meet New York priorities. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will help develop and implement highly available infrastructure model, security best practices, monitoring/observability capabilities in alignment with AWS 5 pillar strategy.
Provide engineering expertise on agile teams/squads to implement and release applications, platforms, and services into multiple environments. Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to solve complex problems; influences outcomes, practices, and/or procedures.
Manage large projects or processes and works independently with limited management oversight.
Assist with the evaluation of proposed technical solutions and their ability to integrate with the FRS computing environment, including applicable security and compliance frameworks. Works with appropriate service partners to implement deployment automation and software defined infrastructure
What we are looking for:
Experience building and managing enterprise cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience in AWS and/or Azure environments including:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation tools.
Experience building modularized, re-usable code with Terraform modules
Experience working with various AWS services including but not limited to IAM, EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache Redis, ECS/EKS, MSK.
Experience implementing monitoring & observability solutions, building custom dashboards with AWS native, 3rd party cloud monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace, Grafana
Experience with relational database implementations using AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS SQL server.
Experience with nosql database implementations using AWS DocumentDB, Mongo Atlas databases.
Experience with container implementations using Elastic Container Services (ECS), Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS), Docker.
Experience with highly-resilient, low-latency messaging platforms using AWS MSK, Confluent Kafka.
Experience in setting up DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, driving automated build management using GitLab preferred.
Extensive expertise in providing guidance, building highly available/fault-tolerant enterprise class infrastructure with multiple-region and multi-AZ models.
Development experience using Python and/or Java preferred.
Experience translating architectural plans and business requirements into infrastructure implementations.
Salary Range: $175000 - $220000 / year
