Preston Greeter - Part-Time (Finance)
Job Description Summary
The Greeter provides a high level of customer service from the beginning to the end of service. They are responsible for taking reservations and providing information to guests about the restaurant and the hotel. Greeters are to seat and present clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.
Job Description
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work to Sonesta standards.
- Responsible for taking reservations, and providing information to guests about the restaurant and the hotel.
- Assists in quality service and ensures smooth operation of the restaurant at all times.
- Act as the first and last contact to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction.
- Open restaurant operations with correct staffing each scheduled day.
- Maintain high visibility for guests and staff, during meal periods.
- Maintain appropriate flow of food and beverages to guests.
- Keep the dining room clean, neat, and attractive at all times.
- Assure proper setting of tables.
- Move and arrange tables and chairs as directed by the manager or supervisor.
- Assure proper stocking, cleanliness, and neatness of service stations, including polished silverware, glassware, cups, saucers, plates, condiments, butter, creamers, pitchers, beverages, linen, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge about all products offered. Helpfully discuss food details, such as cooking time, temperature, ingredients, and flavors, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all liquor, beer, and wine, including pour sizes, brands available, and pricing.
- Maintain an attentive presence in the dining room.
- Maintain the dining room by promptly and precisely resetting the tables.
- Participate in restaurant/hotel promotions and practices.
- Communicate with management whenever opportunities arise (e.g., guest complaints, shortages of supplies and products, and guest or associate injuries).
- Follow proper ordering and payment procedures.
- Specifically thank guests and invite them to return
- To perform other work-related duties as assigned by Management.

Pay Range
Pay Rate $15/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and job-specific experience/overall experience.
