This position requires a male figure with parental or caretaker experience due to the specific mentorship and guidance that many young individuals seek from a father figure. The role is designed to support those who may lack such guidance in their lives, making the BFOQ legally justified under mentorship and counseling programs where gender and parental experience directly impact service quality.
We are looking for a Fatherhood Engagement Coordinator who must have:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred
At least 1-2 years of experience or volunteer work in the social services field, preferrable with underserved and diverse populations
Personal caregiving experience and a deep understanding of the challenge faced by fathers and caregivers.
Experience facilitating structured groups, parent education, or training.
Experience in community liaison, outreach, and engagement is desirable.
Must have a valid driver's license, ability to use a personal vehicle for work purposes, and appropriate vehicle insurance.
