R&D Technician (R&D)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the R&D Manager or Applications manager in developing new products or modifying existing products and services for commercial applications based on customer, market, or technology needs both independently and within teams.Performs hands-on laboratory experiments, including synthesis of new polyester technology and applications of the new polyester technology in urethane applicationsAnalyzes data appropriately including generating graphical representations, applying mathematical concepts, modeling, and relevant statistical analysisDocuments pertinent findings in Laboratory notebook, issue of Technical Reports when necessary.Proactively communicates results and interpretations of data in a clear and concise mannerInterfaces with sales, manufacturing, and technical service personnel to support the existing and new business.Conforms to the strict confidentiality policies of the company, as well as proper handling and an acute awareness of internal and external intellectual properties. Participates in all safety related activities and meetings.Performs above mentioned responsibilities safely, ethically and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.Maintains a safe work environment.Performs other duties as assigned.
