The Tube Shop Operations Supervisor leads a team of professionals within the Copley Service Center. This role assigns work to and evaluates direct reports, oversees operation of tube-bending machinery and related tasks, plans and executes repairs and/or maintenance to machinery. Supervisor coordinates work with the shop scheduler/planner to ensure work orders are completed on time and within budgeted hours as well as performs quotations for internal customers. The Supervisor also studies past work orders/set ups/tooling/run-times in order to become more efficient each time a similar job is performed. Supervisor also assists and/or runs equipment as necessary to meet shop schedules and support emergent work. Supervisor coordinates with third party providers when machine repairs are required.
This position also requires ASME knowledge. Supervisor will coordinate inspections by B&W's Authorized Inspection Agency, when required by ASME or NBIC Code.
Supervisor must complete applicable Quality documents for each project/work order.
Supervisor to have some knowledge of welding and inspection of same.

Interpret drawings to determine best set ups for successful layouts.

Must be able to work independently and solve problems with limited intervention.
Must be able to communicate with teammates and internal customers to work through issues.
Two to three years experience in an ASME, Section 1 setting is preferred.
