Position Summary
Oversees construction management for small to mid-size construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works with the project team and design professional to develop the scope of the project and complete the construction drawings, project specifications and reviews documents for constructability.
Reviews, and manages completion of all project documentation including design and construction documents and contracts, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, insurance for property liability and builders risk, bonding performance & payment, lien waivers, LEED certification, application for payments, request for information, submittals, change directives, change orders, project status reports, contractor daily reports, A&E site inspection reports, progress photos, completion of as-built drawings or other documentation as necessary.
Conducts Owner Architect Contractor meetings, attends subcontractor meetings, addresses quality control and quality assurance issues, design issues, cost issues, staffing issues, scheduling issues, potential change items, submittal reviews, request for information, delays, and claims. Escalates risks and issues to the Director, Construction Management, or project specific lead Construction Manager.
Develops and maintains project schedule with architect/contractor based on the goals, objectives and project budget. Develops and maintains the capital budget for projects. Evaluates and recommends changes to scope, schedule and cost to Director, Construction Management, or Project Sponsor
Conducts project site inspections. Manages appropriate resolution of concerns, deficiencies regarding schedule, quality, commissioning, and safety.
Assists the Director, Construction Management or project specific lead Construction Manager for assigned construction projects with the negotiation and writing of design and construction contracts.
Reviews project delivery methods and discusses with Director of Construction Management the methods best suited for assigned project based on the schedule, budget and scope of the project.
Develop project related presentations and present to management.

Travel to field offices to supervise facility projects required. Good driving record and valid driver's license required.
