GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Systems Operations Manager, the Airport Systems Engineering Technician is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of various critical airport systems and equipment, including airfield lighting, navigational aids, communications systems, and security systems. This position involves troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring all systems operate at peak efficiency to minimize service disruptions. The Senior Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing major upgrades and overhauls of complex equipment while also participating in developing preventative and corrective maintenance procedures. With strong technical skills and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, the Senior Supervisor effectively collaborates with team members and interfaces with user airlines and TSA, responding swiftly to emergencies and urgent maintenance requests. Overall, this role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of airport operations, thereby supporting the aviation industry's overall functionality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsible for their subordinate employee's welfare and care, individual training in the conduct of their duties and mentoring.
· Reviews subordinate's work performance, conducts open and honest performance check-ins and appraisals, and initiates corrective action or discipline as necessary.
· Ensures subordinates meet authority standards in personal appearance and maintains and accounts for equipment as instructed.
· Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)
· Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.
· Must possess a valid, current Florida Driver License at the level required for the position when operating an Authority vehicle or driving on behalf of the Authority.
