Food Safety & Quality Technician (Food Services)
Actively promotes a culture of Safety by working with peers to identify and correct workplace safety issues
Support, and comply with all FS&Q management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
Adhere to and ensure compliance to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), BRC standards, sanitation, food safety and quality policies and procedures.
Verify that Production and Packaging Departments comply with implemented food safety and quality standards and procedures. Review monitoring systems to ensure data being collected is accurate for analysis/review.
Performs and verify quality checks at control points in the production and packaging process (pre-operation, sanitation verification, label, date code, seal, weight, temperature, and metal detector)
Review and analyze data records (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure the product specifications are within the limits set.
Maintain, calibrate, and operate lab equipment safely including but not limited to pH meter, water activity meter, moisture meter, scales, thermometers and ATP meters.
Perform sanitation inspection and food safety inspection; provide evidence after inspection to complete CAPA reports.
Perform shelf-life testing, sensory and organoleptic evaluations of products at various stages of production.
