Behavioral Health Clinician- Supervisee Trainee (ST) - Outpatient Centers - Gwinnett/Rockdale/Newton (Personal Services)

At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.
Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Completes diagnostic formulations and appropriate assessments on clients (adults and/or children/adolescents) with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.Collaboratively formulate a treatment plan addressing issues identified in assessment.Provide short-term individual and group therapy using evidence-based practice therapies for client with SPMI &/or SUDAssist clients/families in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems.Provide psychoeducation around mental health, substance use, trauma, recovery. Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs.Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.)Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information.Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development.Participate in on-call rotation to provide after hour coverage, via phone.Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor.Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Other duties as assigned.
Hybrid schedule available (split in-office and remote). Must be licensed in Georgia.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health with SPMI, SUD &/or Co-Occurring Disorders Experience providing ASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking SafetyExperience and/or training in Play Therapy for those working with children.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
