Oxbow Calcining LLC is currently looking for a talented and motivated Bulk Solids Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team in Enid, OK. As a Bulk Solids Optimization Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our Bulk Handling System. Your expertise will help maximize product value, minimize undesirable size fractions, and maintain optimal equipment performance to meet sales demands. Key Responsibilities Production Excellence: Ensure BHS is operational and meets Customer specifications per product schedule. This includes collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless operations at Enid facility. Deliverables may include SOPs, standard work practices. Performance Optimization: Ensure CPC is crushed and screened to achieve the highest possible product value. Minimize the production of undesirable size fractions. Use of performance tools like SPC (statistical process control) or other data driven predictive tools are encouraged. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the regular inspection and maintenance of the system to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime. Implement a proactive maintenance schedule to prevent unexpected equipment failures. Utilize reliability tools such as pareto analysis, RCA, etc. to eliminate/reduce downtime. Recommend and oversee capital improvement initiatives. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety. Ensure BHS meets all regulatory and Oxbow environmental requirements, including ISO 14001 standards. Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement. This includes developing and maintaining detailed reports on performance, reliability, maintenance activities, and 3-, 6-, and 12-month plans for future maintenance, process upgrades, operational changes, and other continuous improvement activities. Design and lead experiments for measuring and improving performance. Work with local and corporate resources for possible automation improvements. Reporting Requirements: Develop KPIs to maximize productivity, minimize cost and downtime, and track safety and training. Report Weekly.
